About

A number you can take to the phone call.

SqftQuote is a free set of home-project calculators at sqftquote.com. You type a room size or pick a remodel scope. The page splits materials from labor and shows a low, a typical, and a high figure. The math runs in your browser. There is no login, no saved project, and no contractor list.

The rates are 2026 US national averages. Material bands follow common retail shelf prices for the grade named on each page. Labor bands follow production rates crews actually bid: per square foot of wall for paint, per square foot of floor for plank and tile, per linear foot for fence, per roofing square for a roof. They are not quotes from a city, and they are not adjusted for your zip code.

Use a result to decide whether a project is a weekend, a five-figure remodel, or something to postpone. Then ask two contractors to bid the same scope. If their numbers sit inside the low-to-high band, you have a useful check. If they sit far outside it, ask what they saw that this page cannot see: rot, a steep roof, a drain that has to move.

SqftQuote is not a bid and not professional advice. It does not visit the house. It does not know your sales tax, your permit fee, or whether the subfloor is soft. The disclaimer in the footer is the whole policy.
